The role of women's art collectives in mediating the gendered nature of contemporary art in Southeast Asia.

This thesis addresses how Southeast Asian women’s art collectives mediated a lingering patriarchy by researching Filipino women’s collective Kasibulan and Thai transnational collective,  Womanifesto. It sheds light on marginalised women's art practice in a male-dominated contemporary art world.
