Nichol Doesn't Eat
Synopsis
This film follows the pregnancy journey of the titular Nichol Ng, an accomplished food entrepreneur with a history of suffering from the eating disorder (ED) bulimia nervosa. As she enters her final trimester, she continues to live on one meal a day and her other children soon begin to emulate her eating patterns and adopt her perspectives. Reflecting on the volatile state of recovery from ED and its generational impact on families, this documentary highlights both the stigma and impact that the condition causes on those affected.
