Rizal Sanip

BA(Hons) Music
2019 — 2020

Rizal Sanip served as a regular in the Republic of Singapore Navy Band and Singapore Armed Forces Central Band for 13 years. His passion for music propelled him into musical theatre starting with Honk! in 2002 and extending to productions by leading theatre companies including Double Confirm Productions, Wild Rice Productions, Pangdemonium, Dream Academy, SRT, Vizpro, Toy Factory and Base Entertainment. As a studio musician, he plays drums, percussions and trumpet. Rizal currently teaches music at the German-European School in Singapore.

Work

Rizal has been involved in musical theatre productions including Into the Woods, Dim Sum Dollies, Crazy Christmas, Broadway Beng, SingDollar, Little Shop of Horrors, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Getai The Musical, Jack and the Beansprout, Cinderel-lah, Oi! Sleeping Beauty!, 881 the Musical, The Spirits Play, Aladdin, December Rains, Glass Anatomy the Musical, Spring Awakening, Once on this Island, Great World Cabaret, LKY The Musical, Rent, The Great Wall, Next to Normal, Fun Home, Peter and the Starcatcher and The Lion King. He has also been involved in concerts for Kit Chan, Dick Lee, Joanna Dong, Sebastian Tan, Hossan Leong and JJ Lin as well as NDP 2018 and 2019.
