Growing up in a Batak family, music has been an essential part of Jovita Octa Maria Pasaribu’s life. She was inspired to pursue musical theatre after watching Hairspray in her teenage years, which led to a life-changing decision to move to Singapore for her formal training as a musical theatre performer in LASALLE College of the Arts. Upon graduation, Jovita wants to return to her homeland of Indonesia to involve herself extensively in its growing musical theatre industry.
