The Value of Neglected Objects
As human beings, we have unique relationships with objects as they embody meanings that are capable of curating identities of the self. However, over-possession occurs when things accumulate and potentially become neglected objects. In response to excessive consumption and the throw-away culture, this design research asks: can design promote human-object relationships through self-reflection, and how does a storage system enable the representation and curation of the self?
